Roundup: Harvest Christian wins tourney title

Harvest Christian Academy went 4-0 to win the Westminster Christian girls volleyball tournament on Saturday.
The Lions, who have won eight consecutive matches, defeated Woodstock North, U-High, Morgan Park Academy and the host Warriors in straight sets to capture the title.
Leading the way for HCA were Sydney Doby (27 kills, nine blocks, nine digs, nine aces), Jordan Sollars (29 kills, 17 assists, 15 digs, 13 aces), Katelyn Floyd (43 assists, 11 digs, six aces) and Chloe Corbett (six kills, 18 digs, 11 aces).
Larkin 3-2 at St. Viator Invite
The Royals defeated Carmel, Von Steuben and Aurora Central and lost to Rock Falls and Conant. Larkin (12-11) was paced by Olivia Kofie (38 kills, 13 blocks, six aces, 25 digs), Brianna Stewart (30 kills, nine blocks, 26 digs, 8 assists), Alyssa McGhee (80 assists, 18 digs) and Anna Gaston (21 kills, 15 digs).
South Elgin 3-2 at Blue Devil Invite
The Storm defeated Warren, Deerfield and De La Salle and lost to Riverside-Brookfield and Stagg. South Elgin (7-3-3) was led by Corbin Kehe (88 assists, 24 digs), Bri Reum (25 kills), Ashley Oandasan (23 kills) and Racheal Murray (42 digs).

The Red Raiders defeated Marengo, Round Lake and Wauconda 5-0.
BOYS GOLF
St. Charles North 14th at Wheeling
Dan Shepherd’s 77 was tops for the North Stars, who placed 14th at the Wheeling Invitational with a 321 total. Glenbrook North won with 288 at Chevy Chase.

The Lions goal was scored by Stuart Wolff. Patrick McGuire made nine saves.
Hampshire goes 2-1
The Whip-Purs (2-6-1) defeated Sycamore 2-0, getting goals from Daniel Rodriguez and Michael Boutin and Andy Pederson made seven saves Friday.
On Saturday, Hampshire defeated Rockford Christian 2-1 on tallies by Rodriguez and Robert Lucio. Pederson made nine saves.
Hampshire also was defeated 4-0 by Champaign Central. Cesear Gomez made five saves.
