Roundup: Robert Sadowski’s gem keys Bartlett win

Robert Sadowski dominated on the mound to lead Bartlett’s baseball team to a 4-0 victory against rival South Elgin on Wednesday.
Sadowski (4-3) limited the host Storm to only one hit while tossing a complete-game shutout. He struck out three and walked three.
Dan Gallanis went 2-for-4 with two RBI and Ryan Karrick was also 2-for-4 for Bartlett (16-18, 11-13), which snapped a six-game losing streak in head-to-head matchups against South Elgin (17-11, 14-10).
Ryan Ford had the only hit for the Storm on an infield single. Eric Stazy was tagged with the loss.
Burlington Central 3, DeKalb 2
Tanner Scott smashed his 12th home run of the season and the Rockets rallied with two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the nonconference victory.
Cody Wallace had an RBI double and Clem Acitelli had an RBI single in the sixth to put Burlington Central (23-8) in the lead. Zach Ranney went 2-for-4 and Riley Jensen (8-2) allowed two earned runs on two hits while striking out five in a complete-game effort for the Rockets.
Crystal Lake Central 9, Hampshire 2
Luke Wians and Tyler Crater both went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Whip-Purs in the Fox Valley Fox defeat. Eddie Mazur was also 2-for-3 for Hampshire (12-17-1, 6-13) and Dan Keller (2-3) took the loss after allowing five earned runs on six hits in three innings.
SOFTBALL
Elgin 4, Geneva 1
Hannah Perryman struck out 15 batters in a complete-game effort and also spearheaded the offense with a two-run home run as the Maroons secured their second straight 20-win season with the UEC River victory.
Perryman (17-7) yielded one unearned run on three hits in the pitcher’s circle. Jennah Perryman (2-for-3, two-run home run) and Bri Wright (2-for-3) chipped in at the plate for Elgin (20-10, 13-6), which finishes in second place in the UEC River.
Dundee-Crown 9, Wodstock North 1
Jessica Lewandowski went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Melany Love added two hits while also picking up the win. She struck out four to improve to 5-8 for the Chargers (7-19).
GIRLS SOCCER
St. Charles North 4, Streamwood 0
Danielle Noverini, Alyssa Brandt, Kelly Manski and Carleigh Dusek all recorded goals for the North Stars as they rolled to victory in the semifinals of their own Class 3A St. Charles North Regional. Jorie Clawson and Darcy Stoecklin had assists for St. Charles North (14-5-2).
Huntley 5, Rockford Jefferson 0
Delaney Loprieno scored four goals to lead the Red Raiders to victory in the semifinals of the Class 3A Rockford Jefferson Regional. Jessy Helm also scored for Huntley (12-5-4).
DeKalb 1, Hampshire 0 (4OT)
Haylee Moscato had five saves in net as the Whip-Purs (10-9-4) lost a heartbreaker in the semifinals of the Class 2A DeKalb Regional.
Wheaton North 1, Bartlett 0 (OT)
The eighth-seeded Hawks bowed out of the Class 3A West Chicago Regional after allowing a goal to the ninth-seeded Falcons in the 114th minute. Natalia Grodzki made 14 saves in net for Bartlett (11-9-2).
Crystal Lake South 4, Dundee-Crown 0
The third-seeded Chargers lost to the second-seeded Gators in the Class 3A Jacobs Regional semifinals.
