Bryce Warner scored two goals to help lift Burlington Central to a 3-1 victory against Rockford Jefferson on Saturday at the Hampshire tournament.
Brad Yarwood also scored for the Rockets (10-2-2) while Matt O’Connor and Ian Graffagna had assists.
Hampshire 7, Christian Liberty 1
Paul Novacovici and Tyler Kopie led the way for the Whip-Purs with two goals each at the Hampshire Tournament.
South Elgin 6, Rockford Auburn 1
The Storm had little trouble dispatching the Knights.
Marmion 2, Elgin 2
The Maroons settled for a draw against the Cadets.
GIRLS TENNIS
Elgin Academy, Larkin tie for first
Elgin Academy and Larkin tied for first at the four-team Larkin Invite. Elgin was third and Streamwood was fourth.
Elgin’s Dahlia Kensovenga took first place in No. 1 singles. Elgin Academy’s Kayla Schwan and Jordan Kaufman claimed first place in No. 1 doubles.
GIRLS GOLF
St. Charles East finishes second at Naperville North Rosie Invitational
Senior Paige Jordan finished with an 83 for the Saints while Darby Crane and Jordan Thomas finished with individual scores of 89 each.
St. Charles North was eighth at the tournament. Senior Ariana Furrie paced the North Stars with an 87.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Hampshire places 11th at Rock River Run Invite
Natalia Sztukowski placed 39th overall for the Whip-Purs with a three-mile time of 20:56. Rounding out the top five for the Whip-Purs were Lorena Sanchez (55th overall), Elizabeth Pagan (58th overall), Virgina Cano (59th overall) and Jordyn Flesher (60th overall).
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Hampshire takes ninth at Rock River Run Invite
Ross Seaton led the way for Whip-Purs by finishing 18th overall. Rounding out the top five for Hampshire were Alex Pagan (42nd overall), Jacob Serio (59th overall), Merrick Ramza (80th overall) and Sean Kilbourne (91st overall).

Jason Mok and Santiago Munoz scored a goal each for the Eagles (3-3-2).
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Roosevelt 3, Judson 2
The Eagles came up short 21-25, 25-20, 12-25, 31-29, 15-13 as their record dipped to 11-9 on the year.
