Senior third baseman who batted .329 with 15 RBI and repeats as a member of the All-Area team. A good contact hitter who had eight strikeouts on the year and showed an ability to play numerous positions while sparkling in the field. An All-Big Northern East selection who will play on scholarship for Division I Indiana State.
All-Big Northern East selection as a senior at first base, who repeats as a member of the All-Area team. Batted .380 with two home runs while driving in 29. Her 12 doubles helped lead to a .633 slugging percentage and she had an OBP of .475. Will play for North Dakota.
A senior shortstop who earned All-Fox Valley Fox honors. Batted .422 with a .467 on-base percentage and drove in 15 runs. Scored 25 runs but struck out only seven times in 90 at-bats for Whip-Purs.
All-Upstate Eight Conference Valley catcher as a sophomore, she had a .511 batting average with 48 hits in 94 at-bats. Had 22 extra-base hits, including three home runs. Finished with an .830 slugging percentage and .552 on-base percentage. In the field, she threw out 21 of the 25 runners who tried stealing second base, and made only five errors in 173 chances (.971).
All-Upstate Eight River catcher as a junior, she posted a .398 batting average with 39 hits, including 12 for extra bases. Drove in 16 runs and homered twice while scoring 14 runs. Had 152 putouts in the field.
Senior team leader and pitcher for the second-place team in Class 4A. Struck out 200 and walked 26 while posting a 1.34 earned run average for 172 innings with a 21-7 record. An All-Upstate Eight Valley selection who was named Valley Division pitcher of the year, she turned it on in postseason with six straight wins before a 5-0 loss in the state title game. As a batter, she hit .293 with 27 hits in 92 at-bats, four home runs, 26 RBI, and eight extra-base hits.
Junior shortstop and third baseman for the Sabres. Delao earned All-Upstate Eight River honors and led the Sabres with a .410 batting average, .495 on-base percentage and .686 slugging percentage. Her three homers and four triples were also team-highs, and she tied for team-high honors in RBI with 19.
Sophomore third baseman who earned All-Upstate Eight River honors and is a repeat member of the All-Area team. As the leadoff hitter, she scored a team-high 31 runs and had a .606 slugging percentage based on her 16 extra-base hits. Homered three times and had a team-high 40 hits to go with 66 total bases.
St. Charles North
All-Upstate Eight River shortstop who batted .391 with three home runs, 23 RBI and a .555 slugging percentage. Tied for team-high with three home runs and had 12 extra-base hits. Had only six strikeouts in 110 at-bats.
A sophomore who caught and played shortstop, she batted .471 with four home runs and 23 RBI while earning All-Big Northern East honors. Had an .835 slugging percentage and .511 on-base percentage for a regional champion team that finished 28-9.
All-Suburban Christian Conference Blue selection as a junior shortstop, she batted a team-high .465 with a team-high three home runs. Had 15 extra-base hits, a .602 on-base percentage and .717 slugging percentage. Stole successfully 31-of-35 times and scored a team-high 37 runs.
A sophomore third baseman who repeats as a member of the All-Area team. A repeat All-Fox Valley Fox team member, as well, who batted .417 with four home runs, 28 RBI, 20 extra-base hits and a .661 slugging percentage. Struck out only three times in 127 at-bats to help the Golden Eagles to their first sectional title.
The leading hitter in The Courier-News area, this senior center fielder/pitcher posted a .533 batting average, including 16 doubles. A repeat member of the All-Fox Valley Valley squad. She split time in the pitching circle with Amanda Eissler and helped the Chargers to their most wins in seven years.
Sophomore All-Upstate Eight Valley selection in left field, she scored 27 runs and had 41 hits to go with a team-high .383 batting average. Drove in 20 runs and had eight extra-base hits for the team that set a school record with 32 wins while taking second in the state.
Senior left-hander who struck out 372 to set a school single-season record and set the school all-time strikeout record with 840. Chosen All-Upstate Eight River and UEC River pitcher of the year. The Courier-News Player of the Year and Missouri-St. Louis recruit had a 1.31 earned run average and 17-9 record and held opponents to a .112 batting average. With the bat, she hit five home runs, had 10 extra-base hits and hit .333 while scoring 21 runs and driving in 27 for an Elgin team that won 20 games for the second straight year.
St. Charles East
All-Upstate Eight River junior shortstop who was named the division’s top position player. Batted .325 and had 38 stolen bases. Scored a team-high 30 runs and produced a team-high 42 hits.
A repeat member of the All-Fox Valley Fox team, the Red Raiders junior shortstop hit .465 with 38 RBI. She had 14 doubles and struck out only three times in 101 at-bats.
St. Charles North
Left-handed leadoff batter. Played outfield and was a right-handed pitcher. The sophomore speedster for the Upstate Eight River champions had 51 hits and a .447 batting average to go with 26 stolen bases in 32 attempts and 32 runs scored. An All-UEC River selection, she won 10 games as a pitcher while posting a 2.20 earned run average. Has committed verbally to Northwestern.
Junior shortstop and second baseman who batted .411 on the season while striking out only four times. She collected 14 RBI, eight doubles, scored 18 runs and had a .443 on-base percentage.
Senior All-Upstate Eight Valley selection as a catcher, she had a team-high 45 hits on the season while hitting .381. Produced a team-best 29 RBI while knocking out 13 extra-base hits. Will play Division I college ball for Temple.
