Huntley has hired Karen Whitehouse as its new girls volleyball coach.
The District 158 Board of Education made it official Thursday night, naming the former Hampshire coach to the Red Raiders post.
Whitehouse, who owns a 138-62 career record, led Hampshire to second place in the state in Class 2A in 2007 while amassing a 38-3 mark. Whitehouse guided the Whip-Purs to regional crowns from 2005-08.
Whitehouse, a former player at Eastern Illinois University, had coached at Hampshire since the 2005 season. She replaces Michelle Jakubowski at Huntley.
