Upset with union officers: For these people speaking up for union officers, I suggest you look on your computer at their financial reports. See what your officers are being paid. It’s ridiculous. The next time your business agent says he feels for you, and you know he makes over $180,000 annually, you can have an up-to-date conversation with him. It’s amazing to see these officers getting raises from unions that are failing. I suggest union members should educate themselves. Your representatives are making five times the amount of what you make.
Perplexed about property taxes: My question is regarding property taxes. I recently had my home appraised. It’s fully verified that I’ve lost one-third of its value. My property taxes will stay the same for three years so that the county doesn’t get hit with these lower property taxes immediately. I should get the lowered property taxes. After the three-year moratorium, is Kane County going to raise my taxes? Am I going to be paying taxes on a home of over $200,000 when it’s valued at two-thirds that amount? Why would I stay if my property taxes keep going up and my home value goes down? That’s not fair. How am I supposed to do that when I’m running out of money?
