Respect your elders: When a person gets up in the morning, they are a day older than they were the day before. They can’t ever take back the younger day. When the older days take over the younger days, that’s how a person becomes one of the older people in the country. Why do the younger people pick on the people who just completed more of the older days than they have?
Road hogs: What a pathetic country we live in. People are so lazy. I witnessed a woman at a gas station who was too lazy to get out of her car to put the trash in the trash can. There are two trash cans per island. She missed both of them. She threw it right out of her window. Shame on that woman, and shame on people who can’t take their garbage home with them and dispose of it properly instead of throwing it out on our roads. You are a bunch of pigs.
Obey the laws: For all the illegal immigrants who want to stay here, has anyone told them that they have to obey the laws by getting valid driver’s licenses and car insurance? In our area, most of them do not have licenses and insurance.
DUI enforcement: Elgin’s police chief is worried about the lack of state money coming for DUI (driving under the influence) enforcement next year. I don’t understand that. The police are already on duty, so why do they need all that extra money from the state just to do their job? There’s a certain amount of police on duty every shift. It really shouldn’t be a problem to find drunk drivers.
Get vocal about hiring locals: I would like to know why East Dundee is letting this low income housing get built. How is this acceptable? It’s probably going to be like another Fox View Apartments. I can’t believe that instead of hiring local workers, they bring in workers from another state. I’ve heard people are picketing there. It’s a government housing project, so I’m sure President Obama is involved. This is unacceptable. We should all be picketing because they’re not hiring American workers.
