Updated: November 30, 2012 11:33AM

A 22-year-old Algonquin woman was airlifted to a Cook County hospital after rolling her Jeep Monday afternoon in Crystal Lake.

Emergency personnel responded at 4:36 p.m. to a crash on McHenry Avenue between Monterey and Dartmoor drives and found a 2003 Jeep Liberty rolled over, according to a release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

The driver, an unidentified 22-year-old Algonquin woman, was airlifted to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police said the woman was driving south on McHenry Avenue when her vehicle left the road, struck a mailbox and support post then rolled on its roof. She exited on her own.

Traffic was diverted in the area for more than an hour and the accident remains under investigation.
