Elgin man facing drug charges

Drug: Ryan L. Burke, 28, of the 0-100 block of North Alfred Avenue, Elgin, was charged with a felony count of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license afer his arrest Monday.
Armed robbery: A 16-year-old told police she was robbed of her keys at gunpoint about 9:40 p.m. Saturday on North Melrose Avenue. The teen told police she had walked out to her car to get something when a man with a revolver demanded cash and jewelry. Because she had none, she said, she gave the man her keys and he fled.
Burglary: Eloy Aguierre, 19, of the 800 block of Illinois Avenue, Elgin, was charged with residential burglary after a resident on Shiloh Lane reported finding Aguierre in his home early Sunday, police said. The resident said he chased Aguierre to the 800 block of Summit Street, and police said a cellphone was found on him. He was also suspected in a May burglary at the same residence, police said.
