One person in custody after suspicious letter discovered

One person was sent to the hospital as a precautionary measure after opening a letter containing an unknown powdery substance Tuesday morning at the DuPage County Courthouse. The substance proved not to be hazardous.
The suspicious letter was received about 7:30 a.m. in the mailroom of the DuPage County Courthouse in Wheaton, according to the DuPage County Sheriff’s office. A mail clerk opened a letter to find an unknown powdery substance inside.
Sheriff’s deputies secured the mailroom and the Wheaton Fire Department, sheriff’s HAZMAT personnel and FBI were called.
Sheriff’s detectives identified a suspect, who is now in custody.
No more information was available on the suspect.
