Six Saint Charles businesses cited for liquor violations

The St. Charles Liquor Commission has ruled that six businesses violated the city liquor laws after they served alcohol to underage customers in December.

Five businesses were fined $500 and charged $500 in legal costs, while the penalty for the sixth business was delayed, the city said Thursday.

The businesses that were fined are Kane County Rookies, 1545 W. Main St.; J&S World Liquor Inc., 311 N. Second St.; Lundeen’s Liquor East, 610 E. Main St.; St. Charles Bowl, 2520 W. Main St.; and Cost Plus World Market, 3555 E. Main St.

The penalty for Beehive Tavern and Grill, 204 W. Main St., was rescheduled to Feb. 20.

Aurora

There were injuries in a three-car rollover crash at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday near Elmwood Drive and West Galena Boulevard, police said. Luis Hernandez was charged with disobeying a traffic control signal and no valid driver’s license, police said. Kathleene Synnott was charged with expired registration sticker, police said. Aurora police refused to release either driver’s age or address, or say who was hospitalized.

Geneva

Robert Andolfi, 59, 200 block of Platte Drive, Dixon, was charged with drunken driving and speeding at 1:35 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of West State Street, police said.

Judd Luckey, 36, 300 block of East York Avenue, West Chicago, was charged with drunken driving at 12:50 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of Division Street, police said.

Kendall County

Two Aurora gang members were arrested and charged with violation of a condition of their probation after they met with another gang member in the Kendall County Courthouse Wednesday morning, the sheriff’s office said. Charged were Alvaro Robledo, 18, of the 500 block of Hoyles Avenue, and a 17-year-old juvenile, police said.
