Pot charges against two in Carpentersville

Marijuana charges: Richard L. Achey IV, 17, and Brian Edwards, 41, both of the of the 1500 block of Amarillo Drive, Carpentersville, were charged each with Class 4 felony counts of manufacture or delivery of cannabis, and misdemeanor counts of possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia following their arrests Tuesday. According to police, the two were arrested with between 10 grams and 30 grams of marijuana. Achey was released on his own recognizance, and Edwards’ bail was set at $20,000. Both were given March 6 court dates.
