Two charged in connection with car burglary at store in Elgin

Arrests in car burglary: Two Elgin men were arrested Monday in connection with a car burglary that occurred just before 1 a.m. Jan. 15 at the Meijer store, 815 S. Randall Road. According to police documents submitted in court Tuesday, John Holsker, 26, of the 300 block of McClure Avenue, entered an unlocked car in the Meijer parking lot and stole a box full of jewelry plus several bags of clothing. On Jan. 18, according to the document, 26-year-old Christopher Naumann, also of the 300 block of McClure, sold some of that jewelry to the Northern Illinois Coin & Stamp shop at 1100 Larkin Ave. and received $54.25 for it. Holsker was charged with burglary and possession of stolen goods. Naumann was charged with possession of stolen goods. Police said the two were identified with the help of Meijer’s video surveillance cameras.
