Water main breaks in East Dundee

EAST DUNDEE — A water main near the Y-intersection of Routes 68 and 72 broke Tuesday night causing potentially hazardous driving conditions today in the area, authorities said.
The intersection was open to traffic later in the night, but was becoming icy at 10 p.m. Police were keeping an eye on the situation and said they would be contacting public works crews to salt should conditions worsen.
Motorists were being asked to use caution when driving through the area.
