17-year-old accused of marijuana sales near C’ville school

Carpentersville

Pot sales near school: Campanella Ford, 17, of the 100 block of Cordova Road, Carpentersville, was charged with a Class 3 felony count of delivery of cannabis on school grounds, between 10 grams and 30 grams, following his arrest Monday. He is accused of having 16 individual plastic bags of cannabis within 1,000 feet of Dundee-Crown High School, 1500 Kings Road. Bail was set at $15,000, but he was released on his recognizance and given a Jan. 23 court date.

Elgin

Retail theft: Justina M. Engel, 33, of the 700 block of North 12th Street, St. Charles, was charged with a felony count of retail theft of display merchandise following her arrest Monday. She is accused of taking more than $300 in product from Walmart, 1100 South Randall Road, while having a previous shoplifting conviction. Bail was set at $40,000, and she was given a Jan. 17 court date.
