ELGIN — Police are asking the public’s help in finding a suspect in an armed robbery in the area of Congdon and Logan avenues during the evening of Nov. 28.
Police Cmdr. Glenn Theriault said that on that date, the female victim was approached by a suspect armed with a handgun who robbed of her cellphone and other personal effects. The suspect fled on foot. The woman was not injured.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years old, and of average height and build. He was wearing a gray zip-up sweatshirt. The victim was able to provide suspect details to an Elgin police sketch artist, who developed this composite sketch.
Theriault encouraged anyone with information to call Detective Heather Robinson at 847-289-2612, or leave an anonymous tip at 847-695-4195.
