GENEVA — The Kane County Forest Preserve Commission re-elected John Hoscheit as its president on Tuesday.
Hoscheit, R-St. Charles, has served on the commission and County Board since 1996. County Board members also serve as the Forest Preserve Commission in Kane County.
Mike Kenyon, R-South Elgin, pointed out that the forest preserve has grown in recent years from about 4,500 acres of land to 20,000.
“We get along and we work together,” Kenyon said.
Hoscheit said he is interested in continuing work with the Big Rock Campground, the LeRoy Oakes Nature Center and the Brunner property acquisition.
“These are all exciting things we’ll be a part of,” he said.
