STREAMWOOD — A 20-year-old Streamwood woman who had been reported missing earlier this month was found dead in a park in the village on Thanksgiving Day.
Rachel Morris was last seen on Monday, Nov. 12, about 8 p.m., in the area of 777 S. Bartlett Road, near Shady Oaks Park in the village, Streamwood police said in a missing person alert issued after her disappearance.
Morris was found in a wetland area of the park, police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:41 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Based on an autopsy Friday, foul play is not suspected and the case is not considered a homicide, police said, although the exact cause of death was still not known. They said Morris had a history of substance and alcohol abuse.
