Electronic tablet theft via Craigslist

Tablet stolen via Craigslist: Issac A. Phifer, 20, of the 0-100 block of Surrey Drive, Elgin, was charged with a felony count of theft. He is accused of taking a Samsung Slate tablet, wireless keyboard and charging dock on Monday. The victim said he had advertised the tablet for sale on Craigslist and had agreed to meet Phifer and another man in the 1600 block of Larkin Avenue to make the $900 sale at 9 p.m. The victim said Phifer grabbed the box and ran as the men were talking. Witnesses told police Phifer was seen running into an apartment building on Surrey Drive. Bail was set at $25,000, and he was given a Dec. 5 court date.
Carpentersville
Possession charges: Debra A. Little, 47, of the 100 block of San Juan Drive, Carpentersville, was charged with a felony count of possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, following an arrest early Wednesday. Little is accused of possession of less than 15 grams of cocaine and a crack pipe. Bail was set at $15,000, and she was given a Dec. 13 court date.
Possession and underage: Edgar Laguna-Reyes, 19, of the 200 block of South Kennedy Drive, Carpentersville, was charged with a felony count of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of underage consumption of alcohol following an arrest Tuesday in Elgin. He is accused of possessing less than 15 grams of cocaine. Bail was set at $20,000, and he was given a Dec. 5 court date.
