WOODSTOCK — Robert Lucht, 56, formerly of Lake in the Hills, was sentenced to 25 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
He had been found guilty on Oct. 3 after a jury trial.
State’s Attorney Louis Bianchi said the case had been investigated by the Lake in the Hills Police Department. The victim was an 11-year-old girl who had been admitted to a hospital for suicidal intentions and for harming herself. She then reported that she had been sexually assaulted by the defendant multiple times between the ages of 7 and 9.
When the defendant was confronted with the allegations by the police, he gave a written confession admitting he had assaulted the child.
The case was prosecuted by Sharyl Eisenstein and Michael Combs, chief of the criminal division of the State’s Attorney’s Office.
