2nd installment of Kane taxes due Sept. 4

The Kane County treasurer’s office has issued a reminder to county property owners — the second installment of 2011 property taxes is due Sept. 4.
Taxpayers can pay in person, at the property tax drop box behind Building A at the Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Geneva; or at participating Kane County banks; online at kanecountytreasurer.org; or by mail to the Treasurer’s Office, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Geneva, IL 60134.
A convenience fee of $1.95 for e-checks or 2.4 percent of the tax bill is applied to all online payments. Mailed payments must be postmarked by Sept. 4.
Bills can also be printed online at kanecountytreasurer.org.
