Wayne police officer found dead in her home

A Wayne police officer was found dead Monday in her home in unincorporated DuPage County.
Amy Ruff, 40, of Wiant Road in an unincorporated area near West Chicago, was found dead about 4:30 p.m. Monday in her home, according to the DuPage Coroner’s office. Details of her death were not disclosed but no foul play was suspected.
Ruff was a part-time police officer in Wayne, according to the DuPage County Coroner’s office.
