Where will you be traveling on vacation this year?

“My wife is from Michigan, so we will make a couple of trips to Michigan this summer. We are also planning a group trip to California. We acquired a Southwest card, and every time we use it for purchases we earn points toward flights — and they add up rather quickly.” — Quinn O’Malley, Geneva, teacher’s aide.

“My wife and I have talked about going to Germany this fall. I like the history, villages and scenic landscape. For international travel, we always try to book overnight accommodations in inns and hotels in tucked-away places that are more economical.” — Chris Dall, Elburn, architect

“We are traveling to Omaha for my 12-year-old son’s travel baseball team to compete in tournaments and where the college world series will be. We got a group rate for our accommodations.” — Jill Tonielli, Aurora, general manager of Panera Bread

“Our 22nd wedding anniversary is in June, and I want to do something for my wife. I am still working on making plans — maybe we’ll take a rendezvous in Wisconsin or Lake Geneva. We need to go away somewhere nice.” — Leon Spears, Aurora, catalog company supervisor

“My husband and I have a second home in Arizona, so we plan to make regular trips to see our grandchildren. We are taking them to Disney World in June and then we have a wedding to attend in Mexico. My husband and me are planning to go out east in September. We haven’t decided whether we are going to the Smoky Mountains or further north.” — Karen Schroeder, Elgin, retired office administrator
