HUNTLEY — The village is gearing up for next month’s Annual Home and Business Expo sponsored by the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce, at Marlowe Middle School, 9625 Haligus Road, at Haligus and Reed roads.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26.
Chamber President Rita Slawek said the event, in its 19th year, will feature vendors who are a part of the Huntley Chamber. Last year, the event hosted approximately 140 different businesses, Slawek said.
“This is a great opportunity for people to come in and meet all the vendors in one place,” she said.
In addition offering an opportunity to talk to area business owners, take home lots of freebies and socialize with area residents, the event will offer some entertainment from Lollipop the Clown and feature food vendors in at the Expo Café.
New this year will be the state of Illinois Cash Stash Program booth. Slawek said the program for finding unclaimed inheritance and other money will be accessible during the two-day event.
This free event, open to the public, will include door prizes for kids and adults.
