River Valley Memorial Gardens, on Route 31 just north of I-90 in West Dundee, has announced the introduction of two new cremation gardens — Cremation Garden of Holy Sepulchre and Cremation Garden of Everlasting Life — to serve the families in the Dundee/Elgin/Fox Valley area. Families are choosing cremation almost 50 percent of the time, and River Valley Memorial Gardens is providing a special place for those who prefer cremation.
The new cremation gardens surround existing Italian, hand-carved marble statues in both cemeteries. These areas have been enhanced by placing above-ground bronze cremorials at the foot of each statue, as well as additional individual in-ground cremation burial lots. Each family’s loved ones, resting in these locations, will have a prominent place in either cemetery forever.
The Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery and the Garden of Everlasting Life Community Cemetery, both part of The River Valley Memorial Gardens, were established in 1961 by the late Joseph F. Estes, president of Haeger Industries Inc. Bishop Loras Lane of the Rockford Diocese consecrated the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery grounds. The Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery is one of only two Rockford Diocese cemeteries in the Elgin Deanery; both cemeteries in this deanery celebrate their 50th anniversary this year.
As River Valley Memorial Gardens also celebrates its 50th anniversary year of service to local communities, people are invited to take a tour of the cemeteries and new cremation gardens. The staff of River Valley Memorial Gardens provides care and counseling to families for their at-need and pre-need services. They can help make arrangements for grave spaces and interments, cremorial and cremation spaces, vaults and bronze memorials.
River Valley Memorial Gardens’ business office is at 510 Market Loop, Suite 510, West Dundee. Call 847-426-3031 or e-mail info@rivervalleymemorialgardens.com.
