Jane Pabon Boutique Fashion Show to benefit CASA

Geneva: Boutique hosts CASA benefit tonight
Jane Pabon Boutique will host a fashion show from 6 to 8 p.m. today at EvenFlow Music, 302 W. State St. in Geneva, to benefit CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Kane County. Doors open for prepaid guests at 6 p.m. for cocktails, and the fashion show begins at 7 p.m. The doors open to the public at 8 p.m. The show will feature fashions from Jane Pabon along with a raffle for prizes. The first 50 guests to register for the event will receive a special gift bag. Tickets are $25 per person and include the fashion show and one raffle ticket. Raffle tickets will also be available during the evening for $5 or 6 for $20. Tickets for the event can be purchased by contacting Lauren Egan at email@example.com or 630-444-3108. Specialty signature drinks and appetizers by EvenFlow will be available, and 50 percent of the sales will be donated to CASA. CASA Kane County is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system and has been doing so since 1988.
Elgin: Fundraiser to aid Sister Cities effort in Chile
A fundraiser for the Elgin Sister Cities Chile effort will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the Heritage Ballroom at The Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way. The event is to promote ties between Elgin and Cauquenes, a town impacted by a major earthquake in 2010. It will feature Chilean food, music, dancing and items to be auctioned. Proceeds will benefit relief efforts in the city of more than 41,000 residents. Elgin: St. Mary School sets open house for Sunday
St. Mary Catholic School will have an open house for preschool to eighth grade from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at 103 S. Gifford St., Elgin. St. Mary’s welcomes all current and potential new families to the open house. St. Mary School provides Catholic education for all students. Not only are the core subjects taught, but religion is taught daily as well as within all subject areas. The school has adopted the SuperKids Program in kindergarten this year and will expand it to both preschool and first grade next year.
