Area schools receive rewards from Spring Hill Mall

WEST DUNDEE — Spring Hill Mall announced the winners for the second semester and academic year of the “My School’s Cool” program.
“My School’s Cool” is a special community-driven program committed to building relationships with local schools by providing cash to local schools while enticing shoppers to shop Spring Hill Mall. Cash was awarded as follows:
Dundee Highlands Elementary (West Dundee): $5,000 (academic year); $2,000 (second semester); and $500 for community service hours. Students submitted a total of 491 community service hours for the 2011-12 program.
Immanuel Lutheran (East Dundee): $3,000 (academic year); $1,000 (second semester).
St. Catherine of Siena (West Dundee): $2,000 (academic year); $1,000 (second semester).
Dundee Middle School (West Dundee): $1,000 (academic year).
“My School’s Cool” primarily targets students, teachers and parents but encourages anyone who wants to support a school to participate by submitting receipts and or engaging in other “My School’s Cool” program activities at Spring Hill Mall. The program is free to participating schools. Applications will be accepted through Friday, June 29.
