South Elgin: Lions sponsor free hearing tests Friday

Deafness has no respect for age, wealth or rank, and it strikes people of all economic, social and age categories with equal frequency. To help protect the public through early detection and public awareness, the South Elgin Lions Club and the Lions of Illinois Foundation are teaming up to offer free hearing screenings for everyone over the age of 18 (or minors 10 to 17 year old with written parental consent) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Heritage Woods of South Elgin, located at 700 N. McLean Blvd. The mobile hearing screening is made possible through the Lions of Illinois Foundation, the charitable arm of Illinois’ more than 700 Lions clubs.
