Bartlett: Woman’s club plans June 5 installation

The Bartlett Woman’s Club Annual Installation Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. June 5 at Villaggio Ristorante, 1242 W. Lake St., Roselle. The meal will feature a choice of four entrees with salad, rolls, beverages and dessert. There also will be a cash bar. Cost is $26-$29. The Bartlett Woman’s Club is for women 18 and older and sponsors many social and philanthropic events, including Annual Senior Citizens Lunch, Holiday Cookie Bake, Lunch with the Easter Bunny, Spring Scholarship Fashion Show, Special Olympics events, Supper Club, Breakfast Club, Bunco Club, monthly First Tuesday Meetings, usually at the Log Cabin with guest speakers, and more. Regional: Humana offers groups $100,000 grant

Nonprofit organizations in the Chicago area are invited to apply for the $100,000 Humana Communities Benefit–Chicago charitable grant, sponsored by health care company Humana Inc. The Humana Communities Benefit program awards a one-time, $100,000 grant to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the Chicago area focused on improving health experiences or building healthy communities. The 2012 grant will celebrate a decade of donations and mark more than $1 million provided to local nonprofit organizations. Applications from eligible nonprofit organizations in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kankakee, Lake or McHenry counties are being accepted through June 22. Organizations will be considered in the operational areas of childhood health and education; health literacy and services; or intergenerational health. Following a selection process by a panel of local judges, the 2012 grant recipient will be announced at a celebratory event on Oct. 3. St. Charles: New console system at fire department

The St. Charles Fire Department is the recipient of a $16,000 donation, in the form of a dispatching console, from Chicago Communications. The Department has already taken delivery of the console, and it has been installed in the Emergency Operations Center. This equipment will be used during times of high call volume typically encountered during severe weather or when large events take place within the community.

Hampshire: Lions Club plans golf tournament

The Hampshire Lions’ 21st Annual Lions Club Golf Tournament will be a four-partner team scramble, shotgun start, at 12:30 p.m. June 15 at Randall Oaks Golf Club and Banquets in West Dundee. The entry fee is $100 per golfer. Tourney includes lunch, 18 holes of golf, a riding cart, and a prime rib dinner. Fabulous raffle prizes include an iPad, HDTV, and many more prizes. Proceeds from this charity event will support Lions charities, which include aiding the blind, hearing impaired, underprivileged children, and other worthwhile community activities. St. Charles: ‘Golfing for Good’ event set June 4

Do you dream about going to the Masters one day? Then plan to attend the “Golfing for Good” event June 4 at the Royal Fox Country Club in St. Charles. The event will benefit both Lazarus House and the St. Charles Kiwanis. Live auction items will include two Monday practice tickets for the April 2013 Masters Tournament at Augusta National. This package includes two days and one night at the Ramada Inn with transfers to Augusta National. Also up for bid is a vacation stay at a luxurious five-bedroom Sanibel Island home. Several themed baskets will be available for silent auction and drawing. Tickets are $165 per golfer and include lunch, dinner and 18 holes with a cart. A golf foursome is $600.
