Kellenberger Auto Service in downtown Elgin is proud to have been a participating automotive center in the NAPA AutoCare Cares sweepstakes. AutoCare Cares provides up to $500 in needed auto repair (parts and labor) for a deserving family or individual, paid entirely by the auto repair center and NAPA Auto Parts.

Family owned since 1939, Kellenberger Auto is always looking for new ways to say thank you to the community that they call home. “We’ve always tried to give back in as many ways as possible,” said Dave Kellenberger, President of Kellenberger Auto Service. “When this program came along, it sounded like something we could really get behind.” Six local independent NAPA AutoCare Center repair facilities participated in the NAPA AutoCare Cares sweepstakes. Each location provided parts and labor to the selected recipient at no cost to sweepstakes winner.

The first ever AutoCare Cares winner at Kellenberger Auto was Vince B. from Huntley, who was nominated for the sweepstakes by his son. Vince, retired and on a fixed income, has found it difficult to pay recurring bills on time, so vehicle repairs have had to take a back seat. “My Mom has refused to ride in the car recently because it bounces around so much because of bad struts” said Vince’s son, when nominating his father. After being selected as the winner, Vince’s ’96 Buick was brought to Kellenberger’s downtown Elgin location, where a complete car inspection was performed.

Having identified the needed repairs and services, the professional service consultants at Kellenberger Auto prioritized which items needed to be addressed first. After completing all the recommendations, the grand total for the service was $860; the total amount that Vince paid was $0, as Kellenberger’s covered the additional cost of the repair. His Buick even has new rear struts now, so hopefully his wife will ride in the car again.

Owners say Kellenberger Auto Service strives for total customer satisfaction by staying in contact with the customer throughout the repair process, giving accurate estimates for price and time, using quality parts and offering a nationwide warranty, and employing ASE certified technicians who maintain their skills with ongoing training.

They are able to service most domestic and import cars and light trucks. From routine oil changes, preventative maintenance, and tires, to engine replacements, emissions repair and alignments, Kellenberger Auto has the trained technicians and equipment to perform quality service on your vehicles, owners say.

NAPA AutoCare is the largest network of independent mechanics in North America with more than 12,000 locations. Every repair includes a free Peace of Mind Warranty that covers parts and labor for 12 months or 12,000 miles and is honored at every location nationwide.
