Huntley: Fall Showcase at Del Webb’s Sun City
The 2012 Fall Consumer Showcase will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Del Webb’s Sun City Huntley. This event attracts more than 130 exhibitors and approximately 3,000 attendees, making it one of the largest business expos in the area and providing participants with the opportunity to promote their products and services to an active adult community. The show is at the Prairie Lodge, 12880 Del Webb Boulevard in Huntley. Exhibitors representing many diverse businesses, including home improvement, travel, healthcare, insurance, financial planning, real estate, heating and air conditioning, automotive, physical therapy, handyman services, landscaping and other lifestyle enhancements will be present. Sun City Huntley is off Route 47 just north of Interstate 90. The event is open to the public and admission and parking is free.
Elgin: Valley Bell Credit Union opens new facility
To recognize more than 77 proud years of serving to the financial needs of its members and the community, Valley Bell Credit Union recently hosted a grand opening of its new facility at 1950 Big Timber Road in Elgin. Key features of the credit union’s new 16,000 square foot building include three drive-up lanes, with one lane dedicated solely to business account holders and an ATM in the last lane. On the interior, there are four, self-serve kiosks set up in the lobby for members to conduct their banking online, such as home banking, paying bills, transferring funds, opening an account or applying for a loan. One of the kiosks is also available for children to play math games.In addition, there is a large community room, which the credit union intends on using for seminars and other educational meetings such as “lunch ‘n’ learns”. St. Charles: Woman joins father in insurance firm
Anna Koehler, of St. Charles, joins her father, Peter Koehler, also of St. Charles, as a partner at Koehler, Koehler, Inc., a 60-year-old individual and group life and health insurance company started in 1952 by Anna’s grandfather, Vincent Koehler. Peter Koehler joined the firm in 1978, and took over the business from his father in 2001. Anna, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences from the University of Iowa, worked for eight years for Allstate Financial, where she focused on structured settlements, fixed annuities and term, permanent and variable life insurance. Koehler, Koehler, Inc. has been providing both group and life insurance to clients since 1952. KKI also assists families with their individual insurance and estate and business planning needs.
