Hit with bottle: An Elgin woman was taken to Presence Saint Joseph Hospital for treatment of minor injuries Thanksgiving morning after she was hit in the head with a beer bottle, police said. Officers were called at 3:41 a.m. to Afterset, 158 Symphony Way, on a report of a fight in the bar. According to police, the fight started when two men brushed up against each other in the bar’s doorway and an argument ensued. Because stories among the parties involved differed, police made no arrests.

Car left running stolen: A resident in the 200 block of Waverly Drive reported that her car, left running to warm it up early Saturday morning, was stolen from the driveway. According to the resident, she had started the 2012 Chrysler 200 about 3:15 a.m., went back inside and fell asleep for about a half-hour. When she went back outside, the car was gone, she told police.
