Four injured in Hampshire wreck

The Hampshire Fire Protection District and Kane County sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at Route 72 and Brier Hill Road at 10:23 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate three people were transported to Sherman Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while one other person was treated at the scene. Further details were unavailable.
Stabbed in knee: Glenneisha Williams, 22, of the 1700 block of Mark Avenue, Elgin, was charged with a Class 2 felony count of aggravated domestic battery and two misdemeanor counts of domestic battery following an incident early Friday morning. She is accused of stabbing a man in the knee with a knife during a domestic argument. Bail was set at $15,000, and she was given an Oct. 2 court date
Battery to officer: Shawn F. Cowan, 23, of the 0-50 block of Oxford Road, Carpentersville, was charged with felony counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting or obstructing a police officer following a Sept. 15 incident. According to police, Cowan shoved an officer, causing the officer to fall to the ground, injuring the officer. Bail was set at $80,000, and he was given an Oct. 4 court date.
