Man stabbed on Elgin’s west side

Updated: March 7, 2013 9:51AM

ELGIN — A man was being treated Wednesday evening in an Elgin hospital after he was found stabbed in the abdomen in a house in the 100 block of Elm Street.

Police Cmdr. Glenn Theriault said someone called 911 about 12:45 p.m. with word that a man had been stabbed. Theriault said another person found in the house was being questioned by detectives.

He said the incident almost certainly had no connection with the stabbing murder of Lisa Koziol-Ellis in the Garden Quarter Townhomes on Saturday.

Further details, including the victim’s condition, were not yet available.
