Elgin bank robbed Saturday morning

ELGIN — The FBI and Elgin police are investigating a robbery at Fifth Third Bank, 1645 Larkin Ave., which occurred at about 9:15 a.m. Saturday.
An unknown suspect entered the bank and announced the robbery. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in an unknown direction, police said.
No employees were injured during the robbery. The investigation is being coordinated by the FBI, which was on scene Saturday.
