Lake in the Hills man charged in state child porn sting

Updated: March 23, 2013 6:37AM

A Lake in the Hills man was indicted Wednesday by a McHenry County grand jury on charges of aggravated child pornography and possession of child pornography as part of Operation Glass House, Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s statewide crackdown on the most active traffickers who download and trade child pornography online. Madigan said Robert Krusee, 70, of the 900 block of Windstone Court, turned himself in to authorities Thursday following Wednesday’s indictment on two counts of aggravated child pornography, which is a Class X felony punishable by six to 30 years in prison, plus two counts of possession of child pornography, a Class 2 felony punishable by three to seven years. Krusee was being held in the McHenry County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bond. Investigators with Madigan’s office, working with the Lake in the Hills Police Department and the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, say Krusee owned computer files containing thousands of pictures and videos depicting alleged child pornography.
