ELGIN — Bail was set at $3 million Thursday for a Missouri man charged with multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault following a rape police said occurred at an Elgin motel on Route 25.
Police said they were called to the Lexington Motel at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday. A woman there told police she’d been pulled into a stairwell and up to a second-floor room by Mudy A. His next court appearance is set for Nov. 29.
