Duckworth opens up 10-point lead over Walsh, poll finds

Tammy Duckworth has a 10-point lead over U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh in their battle for the 8th Congressional District, according to a Chicago Tribune/WGN-TV poll.
Duckworth, the Democratic challenger, was supported by 50 percent of respondents, compared with 40 percent for Republican Walsh, according to the poll.
The poll cited a particularly large gender gap, with women choosing Duckworth 54 percent to Walsh's 34 percent.
